#ALC9 Day 5: Red dresses, The Danes and an unrelenting wind

It seems like yesterday that I posted my earlier day 5 entry. Although only 67 miles, today lasted forever with headwinds upwards of 35 mph. At very least, we all looked fantastic as today was the infamous red dress day - which even excited zola. Boas, glitter and little strappy numbers were plentiful as we made our way from Santa Maria to Lompoc via the Danish hamlet of Solvang. In Solvang we skipped the provided lunch and opted for amazing pizza. I was also forced by a solveng local to order an amazing slice of chocolate brownie mousse goodness.

After the town we braved headwinds for abound 3-4 hours as we slowly made our way through the Santa Barbara countryside. As always, rest stop 3 wowed us with their amazing Greek gods theme.

At the rest stop, Zola made a new friend in ET. Once all was said and done, I had a great chiropractic adjustment while Zola stretched on the rollers.

Onto day 6!
